100 Mile RCMP responded to 85 complaints and calls for service during the past week. On May 28, 100 Mile Traffic Services responded to a complaint of an impaired driver on Birch Avenue in 100 Mile House and the vehicle was located a short distance away.

The local RCMP detachment has a new tool for the fight against impaired driving. Along with every other RCMP and municipal police detachment in the country, Meadow Lake’s police force is now equipped with a new device to measure blood alcohol levels in impaired drivers.
